A new well

Africa is a continent that is faced with grave water challenges:

in some areas, access to drinkable water can be difficult as well as access to an efficient sanitation network.  Moreover, waterborne diseases (diseases due to the consumption of water contaminated by pathogenic human or animal micro organism) are estimated to kill 8 millions people in the world every year.

Based upon this knowledge, Afrique Lemou decided to act. After achieving our previous humanitarian travels during which we made access to renewable energy (solar panels) and to health care easier, we wanted to aid by constructing a well.

For this project, our partner is the association “Umma’nite”. We will construct a well in the Ségou area in Mali where many people still have trouble accessing clean water.
